Weekend Herb Blogging: Thyme
This week I have had lot of time (ok...no more puns, they are too easy & not punny...er..funny) & I have learned about all of these cool themed blog days in the Blogosphere. Weekend Herb Blogging is hosted by Kalyn's Kitchen who has a great looking blog on her love for delicious food with a commitment to healthy lower glycemic eating.
This pic was taken on a white cutting board with natural light coming from the kitchen window. It just reminds me, it is almost time to start some seeds for our garden. Last year we had our first garden & it was a blast. We had 20 tomato plants, habaneros, pablanos, jalepenos, serranos, cayennes, yard beans, garlic, arugala & tons of other herbs. The only thing better than growing your own veggies, is eating them.

Collin, do you plant nasturtiums as well? (The flowers are fantastic in salads.)

The only herb we keep out during the winter is Rosemary & our bush just keeps stroking along, although last year our sage made it all winter, but then my cat ate it.
These weren't any tomato plants, these things were beasts. we stopped counting at 2100 and thats about the time we stopped picking them. We had some many they were rotting on the vine and I was picking bags full a day to take to work just to get rid of them. We will definitely not let that many survive this season.
