THE EARLY YEARS: 2006–2010

This is where it all started. New Orleans food culture, early recipe experiments, restaurant discoveries, wine obsessions, and the slow build of a voice that's been getting louder ever since.

2006 — The Founding Year (217 posts)

The most prolific year on record. Raw, frequent, and fully alive.

2007 — The Recipes Got Serious (32 posts)

The voice found its edge. The food got more intentional. These are some of the most-read posts in SSTH history.

2008 — Sporadic and Real (6 posts)

Life got busy. The posts got honest. Wine reviews, veggie experiments, and a health reckoning.

2009 — Milwaukee Life, Homebrew Begins (3 posts)
